Professional Background
In addition to writing, I am an experienced educator, communications specialist, and learning designer. I am especially adept in process design, content creation and management, and one-on-one manuscript consulting. I am a deep thinker and strong listener. Curiosity, connection, storytelling, and process (problem) solving are at the heart of both my creative and professional life.
I hold an M.F.A. from the University of New Hampshire. I have taught writing in a variety of settings, including online at Catapult, as well as in the classroom at UNH and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Apprenticeship Program. Currently, I work as a learning designer with specialization in onboarding, small business consulting, digital marketing, and cybersecurity for learner-focused, diverse programs. I volunteer for grassroots movement Save Kittery Waters, which advocates for the improved health of our watershed.

"For nearly a decade Amy Sauber has been one of my most trusted friends in the world of letters. And by that I mean I literally trust her with all the letters of all the literary things I’ve written. My manuscripts would not have become books if it was not for her insights, intuitive reading, and encouragement…I would sooner send these vessels to Amy Sauber than a lighthouse for guidance, to steer them away from certain demise and towards the shore.” --Noah Burton, author of Clothesline Saga and Lookout Animal |
